USA Maritime Tells Congress:  Cargo Preference and MSP Strengthen America’s Security and Economy

Former Maritime Administrator Captain William Schubert testified on behalf of USA Maritime before the House Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Subcommittee on September 10th.  The focus of the hearing was the impact of maritime regulations on safety, security, jobs and the environment.  USA Maritime urged the Maritime Administration to issue regulations that better ensure full compliance and enforcement of existing U.S.-flag cargo preference shipping requirements by all Federal agencies and departments.  READ ONLINE (PDF)
