Navy League Opposes Bill To End PL 480 Program

The Navy League of the United States has joined with the USA Maritime Coalition and others in urging the Senate to reject S. 2421, legislation to repeal the PL 480 Food for Peace Program.  The bill, introduced by Senators Bob Corker and Chris Coons, would replace the PL 480 Program with a program outsourced to the United Nations.  Read the full text of the Navy League statement online (PDF).
