USA Maritime hereby submits its comments to the U.S. Trade Representative’s June 6, 2025 Notice of Proposed Modification (90
Fed. Reg. 24,856 (June 12, 2025) (“Notice”).
USA Maritime is a coalition of vessel-owning companies, maritime labor organizations, and maritime trade associations that directly or indirectly represent virtually every one of the privately owned, U.S.-flag oceangoing commercial vessels operating regularly in U.S. international trade. USA Maritime’s mandate is to support and promote U.S.-flag vessels engaged in international trade.
We greatly appreciate USTR’s willingness to consider its earlier comments and the suggestions made by individual USA Maritime members. We fully appreciate that USTR has weighty issues to consider with many competing interests and we appreciate USTR’s outreach efforts.
